Reports To: Manager of Acquisition
Employee may work from the office in Bend Oregon, the Corporate Office in Blissfield, Mich., or a remote/blended location role.
Essential Duties:
- Create SEO copy for growing number of product category pages
- Maintain product details on the website
- Work with purchasing team and vendors to ensure all product information is accurate and reflective of the brand
- Create exciting and compelling content to highlight unique features and benefits for every product while keeping SEO implications top-of-mind
- Participate in a variety of creative assignments including product pages, business descriptions, website updates, blog content and custom projects
- Perform miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising, PR, Marketing
- 1-3 years of copywriting experience; preferably in a digital/E-Commerce environment, strong preference given to candidates who have product description writing experience
- High attention to detail – ideal candidates will believe in getting the details right – critical when creating a differentiated customer experience
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Experience working closely with designers and in a team environment
- The successful candidate will be self-motivated and willing to learn
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of SEO management tools such as Google Analytics required
- Magento Commerce experience preferred, but not essential
- Perform in a manner consistent with the company Vision/Mission Statement and Core Values.
