Welcome back, PR Professionals. The PRSA Chapter of Northwest Ohio, Inc., is thrilled to kick off its 2016-2017 programming year at 8:15 a.m. (networking 7:45-8:15 a.m.) on Friday, September 16 with our Ethics program. Please SAVE THE DATE. Stay posted to our website, and new Facebook page for meeting locations and great topics.
We’ve heard your pleas, and we are trying something new this year with MORNING meetings. As PR pros, we are some of the busiest and most innovative workers in America, and morning meetings provide a great way to start the day energized with new ideas to take back to our places of work or study.
I am proud to announce that this year is off to a very fine start with a committed Board of Directors, some of the finest in the business, and an exciting year of professional development and informative programs designed to tackle today’s Public Relations workplace issues. Be on the lookout for a future Mixer hosted by THREAD, and more collaborative programs and networking opportunities with the Press Club of Toledo, including a Joint meeting on January 20, 2017 to analyze one of the most interesting Election cycles in memory. We will have a new U.S. President by this program date!
As my yearlong term expires in December 2016, I am always busy recruiting new faces and new names in the world of PR to join our local PRSA ranks for networking, professional development, friendships and simply, to learn new strategies. If you’ve been thinking about becoming more involved, please contact us.
If you are in the field of PR and have not joined the local PRSA chapter, please consider becoming a Member! If you haven’t been to a meeting in quite some time, please consider attending. Our experts and program topics are timely, and you never know what you might learn.
After all, the grass is green where you water it!
Yours in PR,
Rhonda Sewell, PRSA of Northwest Ohio Chapter President
Manager, External and Governmental Affairs
